Wound Care

Skin and wound management includes the identification, assessment, management, prevention and evaluation of guests with alterations in skin and tissue integrity. This may include, but not limited to:

  • Pressure ulcers
  • Vascular ulcers
  • Arterial ulcers
  • Diabetic ulcers
  • Skin conditions resulting from incontinence
  • Surgical procedure or trauma

Our team of professionals meets and evaluates each guest to establish a care plan tailored to the needs of the guest. Based on that assessment, our interdisciplinary team directed by a physician implements the plan. This team includes:

  • Occupational therapist
  • Wound care coordinator
  • Dietitian
  • Physical therapist
  • Social worker
  • Nurses

Our advanced wound care program utilizes state-of-the-art technology to heal wounds. Our therapists work with a team of physicians, nurses and dietitians to develop an individualized treatment plan for each guest. Treatments include:

  • Wound vacuums
  • Electrical stimulation
  • Ultrasound
  • UVC light
  • Debridement
  • Strength training, seating and positioning
  • Nutritional consultation
  • Hydro and compression therapy
  • Podiatric medicine
  • Specialty beds and support surfaces
